The City of Rensselaer, Indiana

Mayor Jeff Phillips is in his first term, starting January 2024.  Mayor Phillips worked for the City of Rensselaer Police Department from 1986 to the end of 2017, the last eighteen (18) years, serving as Chief. 

After active service in the US Navy, he stayed in the Naval Reserve, retiring as a Navy Chief Petty Officer in 2005. 

In his years of dedication to our community, he has also helped coach football and golf for the Rensselaer Central Schools.
