The City of Rensselaer meets regularly the second and fourth Monday at 6:00 pm CST each month. If the date falls on a holiday, the council announces the change to an alternate date, at least 48 hours prior to alternate meeting date. The date of the Council Meeting is posted each month on the front page of the City of Rensselaer website.
Special meetings such as Public Board of Works, Rensselaer Advisory Planning Commission, Rensselaer Board of Zoning Appeals, Redevelopment Commission Meetings and Meetings of Public Interest must be announced and advertised 48 hours prior to scheduled meeting date. Advertisements are placed in the Rensselaer Republican, WLQI-FM Radio, Lafayette Journal-Courier, WLFI-TV, Channel 18 and the City of Rensselaer's web page: www.cityofrensselaerin.com
All meetings, unless previously specified, are held in City Hall, Council Chambers located at 124 South Van Rensselaer Street, Rensselaer, Indiana. This location is on the west side of the Jasper County Courthouse Square, mid-block. The public is invited and encouraged to attend these meetings.
